Extraction And Impaction

A dental extraction is the removal of the teeth which might have undergone some dental issues such as tooth decay, dental trauma or periodontal disease that could not be restored.

Tooth impaction is when a tooth doesn’t erupt through the gum. Generally, happens when there is not enough space for the tooth to come out. As a result, the tooth remains in the gum longer than it should. The wisdom tooth is the most probably common tooth that gets impacted.

Wisdom

Teeth

Wisdom teeth frequently known as third molars grow in people between the ages between 17 – 21. Wisdom teeth are the last adult teeth to come into the mouth They are towards the back of the mouth that usually do not have enough room to crop or develop naturally and require to be removed. Most people have four sets of wisdom teeth at the back of the mouth — two on the bottom, and two on the top.

Impacted wisdom teeth can lead to damage, pain to other teeth and other dental problems. In some cases, impacted wisdom teeth may cause no immediate or appearance problems. But, because they are hard to clean, they may be more vulnerable to gum disease and tooth decay than other teeth.  Impacted wisdom teeth that cause pain or other dental complications are generally removed. Some dentists also recommend removing impacted wisdom teeth that do not cause any symptoms to prevent future problems.

Someone who has a tongue tie might have difficulty sticking the full tongue out. Tongue-Tie also usually affects the way a child speaks, eats and swallows.
